What can I expect in the classroom and what are the class requirements?

Apprenticeship classes are held for 8 hours per day on assigned days as designated by Local 416’s apprenticeship school. Students can expect to engage in textbook work and assignments with periodic testing. A portion of the apprenticeship also consists of hands-on job skill training that will ensure each student is properly certified in safety and training.

Students interested in applying need a high school diploma or G.E.D. for enrollment. Students must also possess reliable transportation, have 100% classroom and workshop attendance, and be capable of participating in vigorous mental and physical activities.
